Service is always excellent! Brunch or dinner...never had anything I didn't enjoy. The spicy tuna tartare I dream about. You can't go wrong with anything you order.

Nami is an elevated Korean steakhouse that really shines with cuts of meat and the flavor. Although we chose to cook it ourselves, both of these things were evident. The service is excellent and staff are quick to be helpful but do not hover. Overall: I would come back for a date night, the low lighting upstairs gives it a bit of a romantic feeling at night.

Family wedding dinner! The servers were so attentive, The food was fabulous. Dumplings, kimchi, the beef and chicken. It was endless Wonderful flavors. We had a private room upstairs. Perfect! The next time I'm in Louisville... I'm stopping In!

My husband and I are fans of both Korean cuisine and Chef Edward Lee. How could it be that I was delighted and disappointed all in the same meal???? Moments of delight...... Our server, "J" , was extremely busy with several tables, but still gave us excellent service. He was personable, knowledgeable, and we were well taken care of by him. The shrimp dumplings.... The tender dough, the tasty filling, the slightly spicy chile oil... so wonderful!!!! The other scrumptious dish was the Golbi-Bap..... everything a good hot-stone rice should have, with LOADS of meat!! The decor.... A wide open bar/ dining area, and floor to ceiling windows manages to be cozy and lively at the same time. The edamame and cucumber banchan was unexpected, but with the mix of textures, and a hint of sesame oil... very delicious. Of course you would expect the cabbage kimchi into be the best, and it was. Fresh and tender, with just a bit of sour. Xoxo Moments of disappointment...... Imagine for a moment, taking a mouthful of pickled ginger...I'm talking a big ol' hearty bite of nothing but ginger. Gross, right??? Well, that's what we got with the Wagyu kimbap. It was certainly a beautiful bite, but all you could taste was the POW-in-your-face ginger. Sad. . We ordered the ribeye, thinking we would happily make lettuce wraps........ think again. What was served was a " salad" of sorts with a couple of cucumber slices and heaven forbid GINGER dressing. The ribeye steak was quite thin, more akin to a NY strip, but was cooked to a perfect medium rare. So..... some good, some not so good, I'm going with 3.5, but our server "J" bumped it to a 4 for us!!!

Came here on a Friday, it a bit small so definitely recommend reservations! The ambiance is amazing, I recommend also reserving when the sun is to set. The service was outstanding. Our server went through the entire menu with us. Literally the entire menu. And was so knowledgeable and explained everything down to texture, shape and taste. We got the chicken dumplings and they were fabulous! I also got the wagyu beef hand roll and it was seriously one of the best things I've ever tasted! Ive daydreamed about it since! I wish I ordered two as my meal. Do main entre we got the ju-mul-luk. It came with the kimchi and salad. I enjoyed the kimchi very much. Perfect amount of spice! I ordered the lychee martini but it was definitely more grapefruit flavored than lychee. I truly enjoy a good lychee martini and it was too overpowered with grapefruit. All in all this is a great spot downtown and look forward to returning soon!

I'm usually a stickler for the traditional, but Nami is modern vibes and Korean cuisine really hit the spot on a rainy night in Louisville. Scanning Yelp for some new eats, I came across Nami and the photo of the tteopoki with the bear claw fried chicken had me hungry immediately! I scoped out resy and saw plenty of times, but when I looked closer to dinner I was shocked to see them all gone. It was a Monday so we took our chances and luckily they had plenty of seats available and we ended up at one of the grill tables upstairs. Upstairs was a bit dark and stark, but you have the option to cook your own food, which made it fun. Next time I'd choose the livelier downstairs with views of the bar and kitchen. First up, a seasonal bourbon slushie (because Louisville) and a dirty martini described as "Christina Aguilera dirty, not Brittany dirty"! Naturally we ordered the tteopoki with bear claw chicken, and it really came through. Rich, sweet and spicy sauce with chewy Korean rice cakes and that crispy chicken contrast. We also tried the dumplings, aka Mandoo, and for me these were basic and a bit on the boring side. When it comes to the meats, they give you the option to cook most items on your own or have it cooked in the kitchen, so we ordered the skirt steak and beef tenderloin to cook at the table, and the duck breast and vegetable sampler from the kitchen. Bbq entrees are also served with banchan, pickled side dishes, and a green salad too, making a really nice meal. They also include a gochujang and a soy garlic dipping sauce, both of which were tasty. I do wish they offered simple salt or a dry rub option. The skirt steak and tenderloin were both delicious. The marinades added wonderful flavor, and cooking at the table allowed us to hit preferred levels of doneness. The duck breast was delicious, but it was sliced very thin and cooked past medium, which in my opinion brought out the gamey quality of duck that many dislike, and it was just warm, not hot. The veggie sampler includes corn, mushrooms, grilled boiled daikon and a green veggie too. Good not great is how I'd describe this, as ours arrived warm and there was no seasoning so you had to dip it to enjoy. The grill table itself was pretty but it didn't get very hot, which meant we couldn't get a nice sear or any char on the meats. I don't like to overcook meat but I do enjoy a crispy exterior sear for texture, and sadly that was missing. Lastly, charging for a bowl of rice with meals like these is a real pet peeve of mine. You're already charging a premium and rice is a normal accompaniment, so the additional $2-$4 per bowl seems unnecessary as a diner. If they're worried about waste then just ask who wants it and only bring what's requested. All in all a solid dining experience and a nice modern take on KBBQ, but I've learned that I'm a traditionalist. I still enjoyed this experience and wouldn't hesitate to return. Oh. And I had no idea it was one of Chef Ed Lee's restaurants until long after I left! I'm a big fan of his and loved watching him on top chef too!

We finally tried Nami to see what all the hype was about. The atmosphere was nice, kind of upscale Korean. The bulgogi was tender and well seasoned and I was glad to see the sides kept getting replenished like many standard Korean restaurants. The issue for me though is the Korean food I'm used to isn't "upscale". There's something comforting about ordering a ton of meats, grilling it at the table and sweating from the heat while also filling up on the sides. Nami is objectively great and I understand the appeal, but it's just not what I'm looking for in a Korean restaurant.

Great food, great service. They had a slushie drink special which was perfect for a hot summer day. The kimchi trio was great, as was the gogi bap. The kalbi was tasty but not the flanken-style short ribs I was expecting, with bone, gristle, and yummy fat. It was just the meat parts, so a little disappointing. Overall a great experience, and there were many items in the menu we'd love to try next time we're nearby.

Gorgeous, modern interior with natural elements, very clean and sleek. We were seated upstairs looking out a large window. To start, we ordered a glass of Cabernet and a wasabi margarita. Both came out promptly, and the margarita was made of true ingredients - no taste of bottled sweet and sour here! Not as much wasabi flavor as I anticipated, but enjoyable nonetheless. Loved the heavy salt rim. For dinner we ordered the skirt steak and pork ribs, and let me tell you, I've never had ribs so tender and meaty in my life. I'll order these every single time! Unbelievable flavor profiles in both dishes. Entrees were served with banchan consisting of spicy edamame, a cucumber salad, fermented spinach, and spicy kimchi. Everything was unique and delicious!
